World-leading Centr e for Primary Care Research

The Primary Health Care Clinical Trials Unit at the University of Oxford is a world-leading centr e for primary care research, conducting high-quality clinical trials to improve patient and community health. Part of the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, t he unit focuses on key research areas such as infectious diseases, cardiovascular health, and behavioural medicine.

W orking closely with nurses and doctors who provide primary healthcare services, the unit is able to better understand the needs and challenges of patients and develop evidence-based solutions that are tailored to their unique needs.

By taking part in a clinical trial, patients have the opportunity to receive cutting-edge treatments and therapies that may not yet be widely available. Our team is committed to ensuring that our clinical trials are conducted with the highest standards of safety and ethics.

PANORAMIC Trial


PANORAMIC is a UK-wide clinical study sponsored by the University of Oxford and funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research to find out in which people new antiviral treatments for COVID-19 in the community reduce the need for hospital admission and get better sooner.

We are recruiting volunteers, whether they have been vaccinated or not, to join PANORAMIC through this website, participating GP practices and other NHS sites across the UK.
