Head of Operations (PC-CTU)
I have worked directly in clinical trial management for the last 10 years and within the broader scope of clinical trials and infectious disease research over the past 22 years. I have worked on a number of national and international clinical trials in a range of disease areas within primary and secondary care, from Phase I to IV.
As Head of Operations I oversee the day-to-day activities of the CTU, ensuring a robust operational input into all aspects of clinical trial management and delivery. I am responsible for planning, coordinating and managing resource requirements for the trial portfolio deploying staff effectively and efficiently. I work closely with the leadership team to deliver the CTU strategy and with the Head of Administration and Finance to plan the funding and resources of the CTU.
I have a BSc Hons in Biological Sciences from Exeter University, MSc in Clinical Tropical Microbiology from University College London and PhD in Primary Care and Public Health from Cardiff University.
