Trial Manager

Melanie studied history at university and worked in a variety of roles in hospitality and wine sales before deciding on a change of direction and joining the University of Oxford; working firstly for the Oxford Vaccine Group before joining the Clinical Trials Unit in February 2021.

I am currently the Trial Manager on the OPTIMISE2 Trial - investigating anti-hypertensive medication reduction in the over 75s.
I joined CTU in February 2021 as an Assistant Trial Manager on the PRINCIPLE Trial overseeing IMP distribution and reconciliation.
Before joining the PHC CTU I worked as a Clinical Trials Assistant with Oxford Vaccine Group on multiple trials, including the COVID-19 vaccine studies, a Pneumococcal Carriage Study, and the Be on the TEAM: Teenagers Against Meningitis study
